Luis Gorrochategui Santos has a degree in philosophy from Universidad Central de Barcelona. He is President of the Asociación Contra Armada, member of the Instituto de Estudios Históricos de Galicia, the Instituto Torre de Hércules, the Orden de Caballeros de María Pita, and the Real Liga Naval Española. Currently he is a philosophy teacher at I.E.S. Francisco Aguiar in Betanzos, La Coruña.
